Manage Clinicians Screen |
Purpose |
The manage clinicians screen is used to enter new and update existing clinicians within the provider organization. Any clinician entered on this screen will be available for selection of Ordering Authority or Administered By on the Immunizations screen and/or the Record Immunizations screens. Only users with the Administrator role can access the manage clinicians screen.

Displays the Clinician Name as a hyperlink. Clicking on the hyperlink displays the Edit Clinician Information screen populated with the clinician information. |

Add/Edit Clinician Screen |
Edit Clinician Information section- This section contains primary clinician information described below.
Selecting a Role for the clinician is required.
Select a Role for the clinician by clicking the radio button for the Role.
Roles that can be associated with the clinicians are
Clinician- A clinician assigned the Clinician role is an individual within a provider organization who can physically immunize a patient. In the event a clinician has an Clinician role, his or her name will be available for selection in the 'Administered By' pick list on the Pre-select Immunizations screen when entering new immunizations.
Ordering Authority/Clinician- When the Ordering Authority/Clinician option is selected for a clinician, this person will have the Clinician and Ordering Authority roles assigned to them. In addition, his/ her name will be made available for selection in both the 'Administered By' and 'Ordering Authority' pick lists on the Pre-select Immunizations screen when entering new immunizations.
Ordering Authority- A clinician assigned the Ordering Authority role is an individual within a provider organization who is licensed by the state of Oregon to authorize the giving of immunizations to a patient. In the event a clinician is given an Ordering Authority role, his or her name will be made available for selection in the 'Ordering Authority' pick list on the Pre-select Immunizations screen when entering new immunizations.
Enter in the Clinician Name information below the Role information in the fields described in the table below.
Selecting a Role for the clinician is required.
Select a Role for the clinician by clicking the radio button for the Role.

Site Selection |

Selecting a Site for the clinician to be associated with is required.
Select a Site for the Clinician to be associated with by double clicking a site in the Complete Site Listing pick list or by clicking the Site to highlight the site and clicking the Add button.
Select all Sites for the Clinician to be associated with the Clinician by clicking the Add All button.
To Remove a Site for the Clinician to be not associated with anymore double click the site in the Selected Sites pick list or by clicking the Site to highlight the site and clicking the Remove button.
To Remove all Sites for the Clinician to be not associated with anymore click the Remove All button.
Address Information section- The Address Information section contains Clinician address and contact information described in the table below.

Signature Information section- Displays with Signature not on file, because capturing signatures for the clinicians has not been implemented for the ALERT IIS.
Command Button Functionality- Functionality of the command buttons on the Edit/Add Clinician page are described in the table below.

Clicking the Add button will move the selected site in the Complete Site Listing pick list to the Selected Sites pick list. |

Clicking the Add All button will move all sites in the Complete Site Listing pick list to the Selected Sites pick list. |

Clicking the Remove button will move the selected site in the Selected Sites pick list to the Complete Site Listing pick list. |

Clicking the Remove All button will move all sites in the Selected Sites pick list to the Complete Site Listing pick list. |

Clicking the Save button will save the validate all required fields have been entered and will then save the clinician if all required fields are entered, otherwise will display a message to correct the required fields. |

Clicking the Delete button will inactivate the clinician. |
|
Clicking the Cancel button will discard all changes and or additions made to the clinician record and will return the user to the previous screen. |
Find Clinician Screen |
Clinician Search section- This section contains search fields described below as well as command buttons described below as well.

Clicking the Find button will search for clinicians associated with the organization with the criteria that was entered in the Last Name and First Name fields. |

Clicking the merge command button with two or more clinicians selected in the Search Results section will display the Clinician Merge screen. |

Clinician Listing Screen |
Clinician Listing Table- This table displays the Clinician specific information as it pertains to sites and roles as described below.

Clinician Merge Section- This section allows the user to merge clinicians together for an organization for consolidation reasons the command buttons in this section are described below.

Merge Clinician table- Displays clinician information to be able to select a clinician from the list to be the record that is kept when merging the records.
